Opposites attract became the theme of this space.

The client owns her own business and everything she uses for her business is in black and white, so choosing a color scheme was easy.  Black and white it is!  We talked about using white subway tiles in the shower to keep the overall look classic, but she really preferred the look of marble over porcelain.  However, she did not want the maintenance of small tiles and the softness of marble. The solution to this problem was large porcelain tiles that looked like sheets of marble.  This makes for less grout joints to clean and a more durable surface.  We decided to wrap the entire space with this material and breaking it up with two rows of modern chair rail.  The floor is bordered with the same wall tile and next, a black granite to border a marble hexagonal inlay. A double laminate counter in pure white quartz was added to the existing vanity and vintage chrome faucets were chosen.  Above the toilet are two custom- built shelves clad in the same wall tile.  This is the perfect mix of classic and vintage touches wrapped in a modern, sleek package.
